Why UFASS is built by custom method? Custom is the best choice in term of efficiency. Some may know that there is no one size fit all. In fact, there is one BIG size for ALL instead. Of course, CUSTOM software is costly in most cases. It is because the work is built entirely for individual requirements. We have worked for CUSTOM software for many years and we understand the reasons leading to huge cost. According to some reports, the failure rate is over 50%. The failure is mostly due to misunderstanding. For UFASS, we started to find the best way to build so that the core module could be built in PRODUCT method and the final product to be produced according to individual choice. That can solve the cost problem. In fact, the basic accounting control is the same for all applications. The difference between individuals is just the length of variables, allocation of functions etc. Our advice to customers is to choose what is suitable. Some may worry about the cost of upgrading to meet future requirements. That will not be the case for UFASS. All building blocks of UFASS are developed by us and any change will be with little efforts. In most cases, the chosen structure will be effective for many years. We believe the cost for upgrading of this system would be mininal in comparison. For accounting, the possible change is the FINANCIAL REPORTING STANDARDS. It may be vague to say we shall never charge for any upgrading years ahead. But the INTERNATIONAL FINANCIAL REPORTING STANDARDS will be fixed within a year and we have promised the free upgrade for all customers. Therefore, our commitment will be achievable in all measures. Certainly, INTERNATIONAL STANDARDS cannot be changed easily once established. |
